The Heat-pack Vest is a vest for a practice manikin. Recesses are provided in this vest into which you can insert heat-packs. A heat-pack is given a temperature of approximately 40 degrees. This heat is retained over a long period.
The material of the vest is transcalent, therefore the heat of the heat-packs is distributed evenly through the vest. By dressing the manikin in a Heat-pack Vest, the ‘victim’ becomes visible on a thermal imaging camera.
The vest is supplied in a bag with 4 Heat-packs. After use you can ‘recharge’ the heat-packs by placing them in boiling water. This returns them to their original state and they can be used anew.
