Ruth Lee training manikins are designed for realistic and effective training. Renowned for their durability and versatility, they are ideal for fire services, first responders, rescue teams, and other emergency services. With Ruth Lee manikins, you can simulate realistic scenarios, ensuring responders are better prepared for real-life emergencies. The range includes manikins tailored for various training purposes, available in different sizes and weights.
This training manikin combines everything you need for rescue and casualty care. Designed for heavy-duty use in challenging conditions, it is robust enough to simulate victims in scenarios like car accidents or high-altitude rescues. Beyond rescue, the manikin also allows training in casualty treatment, ensuring the work continues seamlessly after the rescue phase.
When fire crews rescue a victim, they are often responsible for conducting an initial assessment of the casualty’s condition before handing over to ambulance personnel. This manikin allows you to train for the complete process—from rescue to CPR, airway management, and more. You can also practice treating an open traumatic thigh wound and optionally place an IV line, making the training as realistic and comprehensive as possible.
The torso of the manikin is designed for performing CPR and features anatomical landmarks such as the sternum, ribcage, and breastbone. It includes detailed anatomical structures, such as:
Additionally, the torso supports the placement of a nasogastric tube and is compatible with airway management devices such as the Combitube®, E.O.A., E.G.T.A., P.T.L., and i-gel.
The manikin features a traumatic open wound on the thigh, allowing training in proper tourniquet application or wound packing. The trainer can control the blood loss using a blood pump and stop the bleeding when the trainee performs the correct treatment.
The 30 kg manikin can be optionally equipped with functions for IV insertion:
Intravenous (IV): An optional training arm enables IV line placement. The arm includes an intramuscular injection site on the upper arm and options for venipuncture in both the arm and hand.
Intraosseous (IO): The optional IO training tibia allows intraosseous medication administration, a critical skill in resuscitation, trauma, or shock scenarios. The tibia includes palpable anatomical landmarks on the proximal tibia to identify the puncture site. Its internal 3D-printed bone provides realistic resistance as the needle penetrates the bone marrow. Made from skin-friendly prosthetic silicone, it has a flexible, lifelike appearance and is robust enough for 80-100 uses. The IO tibia attaches to the manikin with Velcro and is easily replaceable.
