The ADR Number Set is intended to indicate which substances are being transported with the use of UN numbers. This will provide an indication in relation to the possible hazards linked to the transport. Emergency response team members need to be familiar with these indications.
Adding an ADR code to vehicles is a fun and useful addition to a training exercise.’ Depending on this, the method of deployment will subsequently need to be decided on. Using the various different hazard indications will allow you to turn one staging into a completely different scenario.
The set consists of signs with the numbers 0 to 9, blank signs and a sign with an ‘X’. The numbers can be used to indicate the hazard classification of the transported substances and details of the associated risks. The letter X should be used to indicate any extinguishing may not be done with water. The signs are magnetic for extra user convenience.
